Each grape variety expresses different flavours and aromas according to the unique vineyard location and terroir.
Our focus is on producing wine of quality, flavour, structure, complexity and longevity.We believe wine is for drinking and enjoying with friends and family over a meal or just with good conversation
Wine Style
We produce elegant fine wines that retain and express the unique grape varietal flavours and aromas of our region. With soft to medium tannins, depth of flavour, suitable to drink now or cellar for later enjoyment.
Winemaking Technique
- Small batch winemaking
- Low intervention, hand made wines
- All wines are vegan friendly
- Controlled low temperature fermentation to preserve fruit flavours
- Use of both cultivated and wild/natural yeasts
- Minimal sulphur preservative used
- French and American barriques (225l) and hogsheads (300l) barrels
- Estate bottled

Big Hearted Wine
All economies are cyclical and downturns are as inevitable as the upturns. We partner with vineyards to even out the bumps by taking produce in surplus, adding value and selling into an international market. Rather than seeing these grapes being left on the vine to rot and a year's labour and expense wasted, or worse - abandoned vineyards - Big Hearted Wine has developed a unique offer for grape growers.
